I often get asked "Sarah what is your opinion on these new shakes?" or "What do you think of this new diet?" My answer is always the same. Hell to the NO!
I always tell my clients if you think that you can sustain the diet or drinking the shakes for the rest of your life then sure go ahead. Unfortunately these fad diets and meal replacement shakes are just that, FADS. They'll go out of fashion and something new will be discovered to be the magic formula next season.
What generally happens is most will try these out and sure get an amazing result but as soon as they start to eat normally again or start eating real food they put the weight back on and then some. Your metabolism has slowed right down and its simply not sustainable. I mean who wants to drink shakes for the rest of there life anyway? They taste like YUK! I know you all want the quick fix but unfortunately thats all it is a very "quick" fix that does not last long.
The alternative which is eating healthy real food and exercising regularly just sounds so damn hard dosen't it? But the truth is that if you want to get a result and sustain it for the rest of your life this is the only way. Its actually not even that hard. Its about making better choices everyday and incorporating a more active lifestyle into your daily routine. Thats it.
I think I find dieting and replacing food with shakes that much harder! So you have two choices, continue to yo-yo diet or do what you've been avoiding for years and thats just plain old eat less crap and move more.
