Mind set believe it or not has everything to do with why you are currently where you are at now right now. If you are currenlty carrying bit of excess weight, overweight or very unfit 99.9% of the time if you are a full grown adult it's all your fault. Take accountability for your lack of exercise, your laziness when it comes to prepping meals or your lack of self control when it comes to eating bad food. No-one put the food in your hand and no-one opened your mouth for you and forced you to eat that donut. That was your doing. Your power comes in your ability to say NO. Be accountable for yourself and stop making excuses. The time you get real with yourself is when things will start to change. Your mind dictates your actions. Your actions will dictate your results.
When it comes to any goal in your life which includes weight loss if you don't believe you can achieve your goal you won't. Its as simple as that. If you doubt yourself, your abilities and the process you will do one of two things;
1. Give up right before you hit a major milestone.
2. Sabotage your success.
Giving up right before you hit a major milestone comes down to lack of patience and faith in the process. This is not necessarily your fault because in our society everything is so instant and we experience instant gratification but we all know that anything worth having is not easy. If all those pills and fad diets worked then why do we have an obesity epidemic which effects more people every year. Stop thinking instant gratification and start thinking more about a long term solution.
Self sabotaging can come in many forms. You may exercise and eat really well for a month and then sabotage your results by binging and not exercising for three weeks then repeat the same process again never really actually getting to where you want to go. Now this all happens on a subconscious level and you may not even be aware that you are doing it, but I see it all the time with my clients.
The number one reason why clients self sabotage is because they do not believe they can or will achieve their goal. Digging deeper into this it could be because you don't believe you deserve to be successful or to have what you want, lacking the confidence needed to believe in your own abilities to go after and achieve what you desire. You are your own worst enemy here.
Remember your mindset dictates your actions. Your actions will dictate your results.
