I don't care what anyone says losing weight is a mind game. You can not possibly do what it takes to lose weight if you are not ready to. You can want to be skinny more than you want to live but the reality is you just want to eat cake MORE or you look at yourself in the mirror and really hate what you see but yet you want to sleep an hour longer in the mornings MORE than you want to get up and exercise.
Your head needs to be in the game for there to even be a game to begin with. If you find it hard to lose weight it's probably because you have a lot of emotional baggage you are yet to deal with that it stopping you from giving it your all. Until you work it through you will continue to self-sabotage by eating the wrong foods and re-setting that alarm in the morning when you've set it the night before purposely to get up and exercise. Who are you kidding right? You already know when you set it you are not going to get up. I know why you set it .. just in case it's an off chance tomorrow is the day you are motivated enough to jump out of bed.
I see this a lot. I see people wanting it so badly that it hurts but they are just not ready. Not ready to make a change or halfway there but not quite yet at their full potential. Not ready does not mean not ever it just means not right now. It shows up with them fighting with me, making lame excuses, blaming the process taking to long when actual fact they should really be fighting with themselves. They are to blame. When you have an unwavering confidence in yourself, in the process and feel comfortable with yourself as is but are wanting more you will find the journey much easier. You'll just do what it takes. No questions asked, no excuses made you will just do it.
Weight loss and making a lifestyle change always starts with your mind set. If you keep telling yourself this is not working well, guess what? ... It won't. Keep telling yourself this is slowing working for me and I know one day I will achieve my goal, guess what? ... You will. Whatever you tell yourself is a self fulfilling prophecy. Get out of your own damn way already
If you have gained massive amounts of weight over the years and you can't lose it you need to look at why that is. Just like a hoarder. Every little thing they have bought and stored in there house over the years is a symbol of emotional turmoil and baggage that they just can't and are not ready to face and to let go of. Its just to scary. The fear of failure and not believing they deserve it. If you've ever seen any of those hoarder shows it's heartbreaking to see the pain these people have and can't seem to move passed. It's the same thing. You'd be suprised what you discover about yourself changing your lifestyle.
If only you knew how good your body is made to feel. If only you knew how good you are meant to feel. If only you knew how liberating it is to have a healthy mind and body which you worked on, worked for and achieved.
Change takes time. It's a journey. It requires a little bit of work on your behalf. Just don't give up. Keep trying. Every little effort creates a new habit. Every little effort strengthens a new normal. Every little effort gets you closer to believing you can. Every time you have a thought of I can you get closer to I have.
