Eating less does not make you weigh less. Just eat better food and less crap. I've done my fair share of dieting, cutting out carbs, cycling carbs and fats, cutting out fats, cutting out salt. You name it and I've tried it all. The best thing I ever did for my body though was to listen to it and really take note of how I was feeling and what felt best for me. I also changed my focus from the aesthetic side of things and just really focused on being healthy and feeding my body healthy nutritious food.
Being "skinny" doesn't necessarily mean your healthy on the insides and that's what you really need to focus on here. Stop looking at food as something you just have to do to fill yourself up and make sure your stomach doesn't rumble anymore. Start looking at food as fuel. This is what your body uses for energy, to repair your body and rebuild cells. This is a way for you to improve and maintain your health. I know majority of people are more concerned about the quality of fuel they put in there car not even having a second thought about the fuel they are putting in their bodies.
I've been told if you put cheap crappy fuel in your car it wrecks the engine (I'm no car expert). So what do you think crappy food is doing to your body? Why is this so hard to fathom? And why do most care more about their cars then they do about their bodies? And I'm the weird one. The minority. The bondi hipster. Sheesh.
Now the key to burn fat while you sleep is to retrain the body to do what it is made to do which is use food for energy rather than store it as fat. The way you do this is by kick starting your metabolism. Most people have slowed a natural fast metabolism down and don't even know what their bodies are naturally capable of.
How did I do you do that?
Well think of your metabolism as a fire and the logs of wood as food. If you put a huge log of wood on the fire the fire is more than likely to just go out, and if you don't put any fuel on the fire it will go out too or not start at all. However if you continually put small pieces of wood on the fire at regular times the fire continues to burn for as long as you keep fueling it. The average person is only ever putting big logs on there fire or none at all which slows the fat burning process right down.
Log loading will look like this throughout the day. Starting the day with skipping breakfast, eating sugary foods or coffee until lunch, eating a huge carb based meal at lunch which makes you feel sluggish (putting the fire out) then needs a sugar or coffee hit around 3pm for some energy and then eats the biggest meal of the day around dinner time usually consisting of carbs to fulfill the state of hunger. This way of eating will not help you burn fat. If anything it will help you to gain fat. Your energy levels throughout the day are not meant to be up and down like a yoyo it's meant to remain steady just like the fire.
Also remember this when you starve your body of fuel it will store what you do actually eat even more and as fat. You will change your body composition to become higher in body fat percentage which will appear less toned and can be a risk health wise even though you may appear to be skinny from starving yourself.
Another key to firing up your metabolism is exercising. Do you notice on the days that you exercise or are moving around a lot you are much hungrier than the days you don't? This is because your body is using the fuel you are putting into your body and needs more rather than storing it. If you don't feel hungry every couple of hours or so your metabolism is more than likely sluggish and if weightloss is the goal you need to get up and at 'em really quick because you need this metabolism to stay on your side.
