So you may be doing everything right. Eating super healthy, staying away from the junk food. Exercising regularly and really trying to take care of yourself. But you may be kicking yourself in the foot with these little things that are sabotaging you, you may not even be aware of them.
Are you being let down by little things that seem like they don't matter? Bit of fat-free mayonnaise here, bit of sweet chilli sauce there, couple of teaspoons of sugar in your coffee and a cup of skim milk (full of sugar) and what you have here is whole heap of extra sugar.
Now these "little" things may not seem like much, but if you are adding all these "little" things to every meal in some form or another IT ADDS UP.
It's like your bank account. Ten dollars by itself doesn't seem like much but if you spend ten dollars here and five dollars there then another twenty dollars on another thing. It adds up. Next thing you know you have less in your account then what you thought.
It is these little extras that could make all the difference in your results. Remember sugar and bad salt is in a lot of sauces and condiments, not to mention the preservatives and fake stuff.
The best way to see how much additional sugar you are actually eating is to write down a week's worth of the food that you eat (food diary). Then get out a highlighter and highlight everything that has sugar in it. This will give you a clear picture of what you may need to change or replace with something you've made yourself. Sometimes you won't even realise until you've done this exercise.
