5 Reasons you may not have thought of why you haven't lost the weight yet.
1. YOU HAVEN'T DECIDED TO
Sounds super obvious right? Of course you have decided to! You are exercising and dieting hard.
However what I'm saying is have you REALLY decided to do this. You aren't doing this for any
other reason but yourself. You aren't doing it because your partner wants you to look better and you
aren't doing it because your friends are doing it and you know you should. You are doing this for yourself. To feel better, to look better and to be the healthiest person you can be. For yourself.
2. YOU ARE TRYING TO OUT TRAIN YOUR DIET
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but doing a workout and then dropping by McDonalds drive
through on your way home is not going to get you there. You laugh, but I remember doing this myself, my shredded boyfriend used to do this so I'm pretty sure it's more common then we like to admit. Rewarding yourself with bad food after a workout will not suffice. A bad diet will stop you in your tracks. Your diet is 80% of your results.
3. YOU NEED TO CHILL
Stress will kill your weight loss progess dead in its tracks. The best way to gain weight around your
stomach is to be stressed out. Firstly we all deal with stress differently, most of the time its something that will contribute to weight gain. You know what I'm saying. Alcohol, pizza and tub of ice-cream. On top of that when you are stress out it creates a chemical reaction in your body which makes it impossible for your body to burn fat. You know what else is a stress? Stressing about not losing weight. Your stressing and worrying about not losing weight will also cause cortisol levels to rise in your body which will prevent you from losing weight. So just chill out would ya.
4. YOU LIKE TO YO YO
Meaning you haven't worked on changing your lifestyle. You constantly look for the quick fixes which
you can not maintain and the results are short lived. Every time you put your body through an extrememe diet or extreme exercise regime you cause metabolic damage. What this does it makes it increasingly harder to lose weight every time you try the latest fad. There is no quick fix. You need to make permanent changes.
5. YOU ARE TOO IMPATIENT
Are you one of those people that want to see results within the first week of trying? Don't worry you
are not alone. You need to be patient though. Quick results equals short lasting. Longer time to see results equals long lasting. I know which one I prefer. Your impatience is sabotaging your progress. One healthy meal and one workout will not get you skinny. That's just ridiculous and you know it. Consistency is the absolute key here and it needs to be over a period of time. Think about it. Consistently eating crap over the years and not exercising got you where you are now it will take a lot longer than a week to reverse that.
