We are all guilty of it.
There is nothing better than curling up on the couch, watching a movie and snacking on some
fabulous tasting comfort food.
The problem with the after dinner snacking is that often times the snacks aren't that healthy and you
know that it's not great for your health and fitness goals.
The best case scenario is that you eat dinner, have a cup of herbal tea & then go to bed. But
sometimes you just need a little something after dinner, especially with the cooler months on the
way here in Aus everyone tends to crave comfort food.
So instead of reaching for the ice-cream, the toast or the heavy high in sugar desserts I'm going
to share with you a few of my go to's that are full of nutritiously dense ingredients and aren't going
to completely wreck your clean eating or feed that sugar addiction.
Chocolate avocado mousse
Mixed berries, almonds & dark chocolate
Fresh fruit and nuts
Homemade protein balls
My homemade chocolate almond bits
Something you can try that totally works if you want to get out of the habit of snacking all together is brushing your teeth after dinner.
Another thing to do is don't give into the urge right away for something to eat, it sometimes will just pass & it gives you a chance to think about why you are having the urge... Emotional eat maybe?
