There is this one thing that your body does to protect you that may be causing
you to continue to gain weight - especially around the tummy area.
Our body's immune system automatically has an inflammatory response to any
type of intruder. This could be anything from an allergic reaction to pollen to a
bruise or some type of injury. Eventually in a healthy and functioning immune
system the response will be turned off.
However sometimes you can have chronic inflammation casued by something
that you do everyday. This means that the inflammatory response never really
goes away. This can eventually cause you to gain weight, feel fatigued, drowsiness,
skin problems, digestive issues, and a can lead to diseases from diabetes, obesity
I've expereinced this myself first hand with dairy. I've always been intolerant to it
and it really causes inflammation in my body and the way that it shows up is;
Extreme acne on the back of my shoulders.
Acne on my face
Dark circles and puffiness around my eyes
Psorias on my arms
Pretty gross huh.
As soon as I removed dairy, cheese, yohgurt and whey protein from my diet believe it
or not after a few weeks all of these symptoms that I struggled all my life really just
Now I'm not saying that is it dairy for you but pay attention to the signs. You have to
become a detective. Nobody should know your body better than you do.
Here are some examples of foods that can cause inflammation in the body, and you will
know if you have inflammation - you will find it hard to get rid of that tyre around the

1 in 4 adults have trouble digesting milk properly due to either a lactose intolerance
or a sensitivity to the casein proteins. Anytime there is any type of allergen present
it will trigger an inflammatory response by releasing histamines.
While a glass of wine won't do much harm the problem lies with having more than
just the occassional. The process of breaking down the alcohol causes toxic by-products
which can damage the liver. This promotes inflammation hence why you can feel
quite bloated around the stomach after drinking too much.
When we eat too much sugar our body can't process it quick enough which can
promote an inflammatory response.
4. Deep Fried food - Chips, deep fried chicken
Deep fried food is often fried in vegetable oil which contains high levels of
(AGEs) Advanced glycation end products in other words it casues inflammation
in the body. People that cut out deep fried food from there diet find that markers
of inflammation in the body dissapear.
5. Refined flour - White bread
Refined flours are stripped of their slow digesting fiber which causes you to digest
these type of carbs too quickly which ends up spiking your insulin levels. When your
insulin levels are spiked it creates an inflammatory response. Switching to whole
grains is much better for you, it digests slower.
6. Artificial Sweetners - so all of your diet products.
Artificial sweetners enhances the risk of glucose intolerance by altering our gut flora.
Bad gut health can be associated with type 2 diabetes. When our bodies can't metabolise
glucose properly it can lead to increased inflammation. Also by decreasing levels of
good bacteria in our gut can also effect the release of anti-inflammatory cells which help
7. Artificial additives - Breakfast cereals, lollies and ice-cream
Any type of food that is artificial unfortunately our bodies have no idea how to process it.

Naturally cattle, chicken and pigs don't eat a grain-fed diet becasue of this the animals
are more susceptable to disease so many producers load them up on antibiotics to keep
them from getting sick. They also inject them with hormones which helps the animals
gain weight and grow faster. What this means is that we are eating meats with higher
levlels of inflammation. The leftover hormones and antibiotics that we ingest also make
our bodies believe it is in a constant state of attack.You get what you pay for right.
