Hear is one thing I want you to do
from this day forth.
STOP beating yourselves up and
focusing on where you are not!
So many women just focus on the
negative failing to ever acknowledge
how far they have come and the
progress they are making.
This way of thinking and being
down on yourself ALL the time
actually leads to self sabotage.
You may be making amazing
progress but you are blinded
by the fog.
Your need for perfection is
blinding you and your unrealistic
expectations are paralysing you
from moving forward.
At the start of any weight loss
journey you really need to leave
your expectations at the door.
You can not control what your
body is going to do and you can
not predict how much weight you
will lose week to week, so why
let it upset you?
This does not mean you are
not making progress.
Just because you saw someone
on the Biggest Loser lose a
whopping 10kg in a week does
not mean that it will be the same
for you and losing 10kgs in a
week does not always reflect
Here is my general rule of thumb
for weight loss because I know
how you all love your numbers.
In the first month you may lose
1-3kgs per week depending on
your starting point, your fitness
level and how much your starting
weight is. From thereafter you
should aim for no more than
500g per week.... No more.
You want your weight loss to
be slow and steady. You also
want to allow your body time
to adjust otherwise you will
end up gaining the weight
back on quickly.
So focus your attention on
the progress you are making
not how far you have to go or
how little you've lost.
This is the first step to a major
mindset shift that will help you
get out of that self sabotaging
