I'm about to give you some truth bombs that
you probably don't want to hear but you
need to hear if you want to CHANGE your
Commit to a LONG TERM goal rather than
just the short term goal.
VERY common mistake. People get focused
on losing weight for a particular event but then
go back to all of the old habits and gain all
the weight back once the event is done.
You need to change the way that you view
health and fitness. Aim to make it a regular
thing in your life. Not just something you do
for a six week stint.
When you do this you will find it easier to
keep the weight off all year round.
Do the exercises that actually count.
Just because you go to the gym or do a
workout does not always mean that it counts.
Doing bicep curls on a machine a the gym
won't do sh*t if you goal is weight loss
(sorry to say it).
If you want to lose weight you need to
start doing the exercises that burn the
calories. Legs, Legs and more legs.
Build the right foundation to do high intensity.
Another mistake beginners make is training
to hard to quickly. This is a disaster waiting
You need to build up your core strength, your
mind to muscle connection, fitness and
co-ordination before you can even begin to
start to lift heavy and do really high intensity
Yes you want to lose weight but its about
training smarter not necessarily harder.
We want longevity for your body and ensure
you don't injure yourself. I personally don't
believe that smashing yourself to the point
of vomiting is the best way to lose weight.
Slow progress is the best progress
I know you don't want to hear this one
because you want to lose weight now,
you want to feel better now and you want
to look good now.
Quick change is usually brought on by
eating and exercising in a way that you
cannot maintain. You don't want to do
this. Really quick weight loss is usually
followed by quick weight gain.
Don't try and cheat the system. Think
about how long it has taken you to gain
the weight. You can't expect a really
quick turn around.
You also need to know though that there
is will be a period of time BEFORE you
see any results where there will be things
happening in the back ground that you
If you are serious making serious changes
all of this stuff won't matter because you
will do what it takes.
