Sarah Sunderland - Women's Weight Loss Coach
Hey there my name is Sarah Sunderland.
I have been a fitness professional for over 8
years now and have loved every minute of it.
Helping my clients achieve a healthier body
and a better quality of life.
I myself have not always been a motivated
and healthy person though. There is this
misconception out there that all fitness
professionals were just born fit and healthy.
Not true at all.
It took time, effort and dicipline for me to
get to the point I am at in my life where I
Iive a balanced lifestyle eating good food,
exercising regularly and feeding my mind
and soul with positivity.
I used to be a huge binge and emotional
eater. I would lie in bed late at night thinking
about all of my worries. Unable to get to
sleep and uncomfortable with my emotions
I would get up out of bed and put trackies
on and drive to the service station.
I would buy big packets of Doritios, blocks
of chocolates and biscuits and I would sit
up in bed so my roomates would not see
what I was doing and I would eat the whole
damn lot in one go. Then I would go to sleep.
I did this a lot.
I used to be a packet a day smoker. My
breakfast would consist of 2 instant coffees
with 2 1/2 sugars and 3 smokes (usually
one after the other).
I would drink 5 nights out of 7.
My daily meals would consist of
hot chip and gravy sandwiches,
and pies from the service station.
I would also eat a lot of lollies and would
have a can or two of redbull per day.
Exercise was a complete joke and I
could hardly walk up a set of stairs without
puffing let alone go to the gym.
I had a gym membership which I used
a total of twice.
The first time I did 20 minutes on the
treadmill. The second time I did 15
minutes, felt so uncomfortable there
that I never went back again.
I remember trying to go for runs along
the beach. I would last about 10 minutes
(no joke) then I would go home and order
pizza to reward my "good" effort.
I would not deal with stress very well
and my release was smoking, regular
drinking and crappy junk food.
Not only was I physically unhealthy I
was also very mentally unhealthy. I
was not a very happy person at all.
I had very low self esteem.
I hated my body and I was lacking
confidence not only in the way that
I looked but also in my general life.
I hated my job, I had no goals, no
aspirations and no motivation to really
make anything of myself.
Little did I know back then that what
I was eating and drinking was really
effecting my moods.
I started randomly training with one
of my PT friends at the time.
At first I started exercising because
I was unhappy with my gut and I had
skinny legs and no bum. So I felt like
I was really top heavy. I naturally store
weight around my tummy (the worst kind).
After a while I decided to give up
smoking. Mind you I was still smoking
on my way to the gym and would light
up and as soon as I left I would light
for the drive home.
So I gave up after smoking for 8 years.
I then started to eat healthier, stopped
drinking as much and the binge eating
As I continued to train I also started
to gain confidence in myself. I gained
a new lease on life. I started to make
plans for my future.
I started a small business doing it on
the side of my regular job. I would have
never had the confidence to even think
I could do that before. I also had
decided by that point that I wanted
to study to become a personal trainer.
I couldn't believe what exercising and
a healthy lifestyle did not only to my
body physically but the mental
changes for me the benefits were far
greater than the physical.
This is where my passion grew for
health and fitness. This is where I
decided to spend my life helping
other people transform their own
If only you knew how good you could
actually feel. You would seriously never
Just like me.
I still have my struggles but my happy
base is healthy, happy and fit.
As you can see I know I know how
hard it is to undo years of living a
But know which lifestyle I chose everytime.
Let me show you the way.
